I need to become more meticulous!?

I work with people like you. There's no problem in being a big picture person, but most big picture people don't like the detail ociated with a topic beacuse they don't understand them. Whatever your topic or subject is, research it first understand the fundementals and then talk about it in big picture terms. There's no harm in not knowing the answer, the real crime is not finding it out.
