Virginia tech or Virginia Commonwealth University for fashion merchandising?

I am torn between these to schools. I love VT's atmosphere and i want to play softball there. VCU doesn't have softball but their art program is really good. What is the fashion merchandising program like at VT? What is it like at VCU?
