Installing an out door tap?

i have run several around my house and used the pvc pipes which do not burst as easy as copper in freezed,, its also easier to work with,,, you can dig a shallow trench from where it originates to the new tap!! this will also help in freezes,, i have also run them along the wall and used plastic paint to match the colors so you can't even see them!!
