Why did Jesus speak in parables?

The answer is in the Bible. He spoke in parables so that unbelieves would think it just a neat story and the believers will gain more knowledge of Him. It is for kings to search out a matter. God wants us to know about Him. But He also wants us to search Him out and His ways.
